Panolam Surface Systems (www.panolam.com) is a leading manufacturer of interior surfaces, including high-pressure decorative laminates, thermally fused laminates, and a variety of specialty laminates for decorative as well as industrial applications.
Reporting to the Central Director of Specifications, the Associate Specifications Manager will collaborate with a Territory Account and Specification Managers, and together under the direction of the Central Regional Business Director, learn new ways to qualify opportunities and to maximize your potential to drive new sales. This position will call on and promote Panolam’s product lines to architects, interior designers, specifiers, end users, and others within the Province of Ontario, with the objective of obtaining project specifications for our products. This position will showcase innovative products that will appeal aesthetically as well as functionally to customers primarily in the Heath Care, Educational, Retail and Hospitality segments.
Qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of 1 year of experience of driving specifications of products to A&D firms in the above referenced territory.
Experience in sales, preferably within A & D community and/or design build, store fixture, interior building products, office furniture businesses,
Ability to make effective product presentations in front of small and large groups,
Knowledge of the A & D community or the ability and willingness to learn the A and D community within the assigned territory,
Thorough understanding and ability to professionally present the color and design aspects of like products,
Ability and willingness to collaborate with Sales and Specification Manager counterparts and distributor specification representatives,
Demonstrated organization skills and basic computer skills,
Highly motivated self-starter and ability to work independently,
Interior Design degree strongly preferred,
Ability to travel, including overnight stays,
This job requires lifting and carrying products and materials that weigh up to approximately 30 pounds.
